The Graphic Design of Nick Ball

The Graphic Design of Nick Ball

Looking back over twelve years as a graphic designer there is one thing that has become clear to me. However much I try to remove myself from the equation, to visualise the vision of the client and let the project objectives drive the outcome, I inevitably leave a little piece of myself behind.

Every project I create looks a little bit, sounds a little bit or feels a little bit like me.

But that’s OK it seems.

I have originated numerous successful pieces of work, some of them hugely transforming for the organisations involved. Even pieces of work that contributed directly to saving lives, which must be the highest accolade for any piece of graphic design.

I have designed, created, drawn, written and brought to life many things that above all else represent an unwavering love for solving problems with words and pictures.

Hey – what a thought-provoking blog – it’s on the favourites list now. Your designs are quite lovely – and I laugh because I studied Interior Architecture too – and here we both are! Looking forward to reading / seeing more . . .

Hey Georgia, you don’t know how much I needed some motivation right now – so really appreciate your kind words. Making lovely design and provoking thought are pretty much the purpose of this blog, so with your encouragement I’ll get back to it… Cheers, Nick
